Description
Pellegrino Passito Fortified Pantelleria CL. 75
The Passito Liquoroso di Pantelleria from the famous Cantina Pellegrino di Marsala is produced from Zibibbo grapes grown in sandy volcanic soil at an altitude of up to 300 m near the sea on the island of Pantelleria west of Sicily. This golden liqueur passito has an intense and persistent aroma. The Pellegrino family has always personally managed the activities in the vineyard and in the cellar, and even today, in the seventh generation, it is involved in the management of the business on a daily basis. A long family history made of respect, care, love and dedication, of values handed down from the father in son, who today make it one of the largest Sicilian wine families.
Beautiful, golden with amber reflections, bright and inviting. On the nose a bouquet of dehydrated and sweet fruit, figs, apricots, honey, intense and very persistent aromas. On the palate it is sweet and soft, enveloping and intriguing, the flavor is honeyed, but an acidic vein refreshes and calls for a new sip, it is long and elegant.
Perfect with dry desserts, but also with pandoro or panettone. We also recommend trying it with blue or very aged cheeses and accompanied by jams.
