Tasting Notes

Colorless and transparent to the eye. The nose opens with a fresh and fragrant olfactory bouquet, in which memories of juniper berries combine with nuances of pepper, cardamom, citrus and flint. The sip corresponds to the nose, and is crisp, full-bodied and persistent.

Distillery

Founded in 2008, Koval Distillery is the first craft distillery to open in Chicago since Prohibition. Robert and Sonat Birnecker are the founders of the company, which is based on an ancient family tradition and, above all, on a strict corporate philosophy, according to which each distillate is made from scratch, and each phase of production - from the choice of raw materials to bottling and final packaging - is directly managed internally. This is how what we can now define as the “Koval” style was born, which is recognized in clean and bright spirits, formed only from the “heart” of distillation and bottled in small batches exclusively “single barrel”.
