Description
Petrus Boonekamp was a great Dutch liqueurist who obtained this amaro, for the first time, in 1777, by distilling rare vegetable substances from different continents and, from that moment, the fame of the amaro, which he had baptized with his name, has spread rapidly around the world. There are numerous herbs that enter the composition of Petrus and among them galangal plays a fundamental role, a perennial herb native to India and China, widely used in pharmacies as an aromatic eupeptic. On the label there is a warning that reads 'those who do not serve it die', a memo referring to bartenders all over the world! The ideal way to enjoy it at room temperature and without ice, which would alter its color and flavor.
