Description
From the Banfi di Toscana winery a wine capable of boasting the DOC Bolgheri certification. Banfi's Aska Bolgheri DOC uses grapes mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon, with lower percentages of Cabernet Franc.
The production technique put in place by the winemakers, starts with the fermentation of the grapes in steel vats at a controlled temperature, for about 12-14 days, and follows with the malolactic fermentation.
The wine is then aged in wood for 10 months, ending its evolution in the bottle for an appropriate period of time established from time to time by the master cellars.
Upon organoleptic examination this wine shows an intense ruby red color with violet reflections, vivid and shiny.
The scent is broad and intense, as well as complex, with hints of currant, blueberry and plum jam, which blend perfectly with the elegant notes of tobacco and licorice.
On the palate it is expressed with a strong taste in the structure and powerful, full, very soft, with persuasive and elegant tannins, very persistent in the final mouth.
A Tuscan wine of excellence, which goes well with game and game dishes, excellent with medium and long-aged hard cheeses.
The serving temperature is 18 ° C in a large glass which favors the exhalation of aromas. It reaches an alcohol content of 13.5% Vol.
