The geographical area of Montefalco doc falls in the province of Perugia, in the center of Umbria, and embraces the entire municipal area of Montefalco and part of the municipalities of Bevagna, Giano dell 'Umbria, Gualdo Cattaneo and Castel Ritaldi.
It is a very small area, with lands that slope gently along the profiles of the highest hills manned by ancient medieval villages.
The slope of the vineyard plots and the general exposure is variable, so much so as to create a wide range of microclimates and cultivation conditions.
