Modus: Method and Measure

Modus, whose name derives from the Latin words for "method" and "measure," represents Ruffino's contemporary approach to blending three noble grape varieties.

Introduced in 1997, it is internationally recognized as a highly prestigious Supertuscan and is the synthesis of all the elements that contribute to its unique character: vines, sun, soil and craftsmanship.

Clay, Limestone and Silt

The grapes come from vineyards on the hills near Florence at an altitude ranging from 290 to 450 meters above sea level.

The soil is characterised by a rich presence of clay, limestone and small percentages of silt.
