PRODUCTION AREA: Plains and hills near Cividale del Friuli VARIETAL: Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon TRAINING SYSTEM: Guyot and Friulian single inverted HARVEST PERIOD: September VINIFICATION: The grapes are harvested and vinified separately. The Sauvignon is softly pressed and the must obtained is statically cold decanted. Fermentation and aging 'sur lies' take place in vitrified cement barrels at a controlled temperature. Cabernet Sauvignon, on the other hand, is softly pressed after a cold maceration. The must then ferments and ages in 500-liter tonneaux. After blending, the wine is bottled and presented on the market about a year and a half after the harvest. ALCOHOL CONTENT: 13% vol. about COLOR: Light cherry red OLFACTORY AND TASTE NOTES: The fresh and fruity bouquet opens with aromas of red berries, raspberries and cherries; on the palate it is tasty and fresh, with excellent drinkability.
