WINE ESTATE ULISSE MERLOT 2023 CL.75

Terre di Chieti IGT Merlot 2021 Tenuta Ulisse 75 cl is a monovarietal rosé wine produced by Tenuta Ulisse in Abruzzo.

100% Merlot vinified in white, the latest vintage also winner of many awards and recognitions among which we remember the inclusion in the classification of the best 50 Italian wines by Luca Maroni.

Production method

The grapes are harvested and placed whole in the exclusive “Ulisse” cooling tunnel; the cooling of the temperature will allow the acidity and varietal aromas of the grapes to be preserved.

Cold maceration lasting about 12 hours. Subsequently we proceed to the actual fermentation which takes place at a temperature not higher than 11°C.

This is followed by refinement in stainless steel and subsequent refinement in the bottle.

Tasting notes

At sight it has an intense and bright cherry pink color. On the nose hints of red fruits, blueberry and raspberry and floral notes of rose and herbaceous sensation.

In the mouth it is round, balanced by an extraordinary freshness and a mineral note.

Possible combinations

Merlot Ulisse is perfect as an aperitif on a warm spring/summer evening. Perfect to drink in company, it focuses heavily on perfumes and

the simplicity of drinking and is therefore the classic bottle to be finished in an instant.

As a pairing we see it well on a selection of cold cuts, on a ham and melon, first courses with tomato and basil sauce, Livorno-style cod and white meats.
