Don Papa Gayuma

has an intricate tropical gothic inspired design that reflects aspects of the dark mystical rituals and traditions of Negros and Siquijor, depicting the dark face of the characters and beings found there and disrespecting Papa Isia, the revolutionary hero who inspired the name Don Papa. The result is a dark amber rum with a peat aroma and soft vanilla notes, a light touch of orange peel, intense cocoa and hints of cloves and mint. Its intense smoky note and spicy finish create a perfectly balanced liquid with a delicious and deep character.

Tasting notes

Nose: You can expect a rum that smells strongly of well toasted oak and wood and smoke. It also smells of sweet tobacco leaves, there is also a faintly pronounced nuance of milk chocolate and ripe vanilla pods and the scent of fresh, ripe fruit such as peach and pear overpowers everything. Taste: A pleasant alcoholic warmth welcomes you, supported by a bush of sweet herbs. It tastes of fresh mint, menthol and Earl Gray notes, underlined with rich dark chocolate, spiced blood oranges, a hint of cinnamon and a creamy vanilla butterscotch note. Finish: The finish is wonderfully long and aromatic. The smoky notes and sweet vanilla slowly leave the palate and then leave behind nuances of dried fruit, molasses and fresh herbs.
