Description
The 12 year old Aultmore is part of Dewar's The Last Great Malts series, the distillery is located between the towns of Keith and Fochabers in Speyside, in an area known as "The Foggie Moss" due to the perennial fog that l 'wraps. Founded in 1896 by Alexander Edward, Aultmore, whose name derives from Altt Mor, the water source of the distillery which in Scottish Gaelic means "great river", releases a unique product of its kind, with a unique refinement, a Single Malt for true enthusiasts, produced in very few copies and highly coveted by collectors. Pale golden yellow, the nose is gentle and fresh with notes of mown grass, malt, powdered sugar and honey, along with hints of yeast. On the palate it has a soft, slightly peppery flavor, and rich in references of lemon, vanilla and aromatic herbs. The finish is medium long and played on citrus notes. 70 cl glass bottle with case.
