BUNNAHABHAIN STIUIREADAIR WHISKEY SINGLE MALT CL.70
Single Malt Scotch whiskey aged
Description
A typically coastal scotch, creamy, with notes of caramel, peanuts, dried fruit and traces of spices.
Bunnahabhain is one of the 9 Islay distilleries in operation and its position in the north east of the island is recognized by all as one of the most beautiful and scenic: crystal clear sea, small pebble beach and its view of Jura make it a truly place magical.
The Toiteach A Dhà (pronounced “Toch-ach ah-ghaa”), which in Gaelic means smoked two, because it is the second release of the peaty whiskey from the Islay distillery.
Bunnahabhain Toiteach A Dhà is a single malt Scotch whiskey aged in a mix of American ex-bourbon and European ex-sherry Oloroso barrels, bottled without filtration or coloring.
Light amber in color, the nose has a certain salinity with notes of toasted peanuts, pepper, plum, ginger and hints of toasted oak.
In the mouth it is deep, with notes of sea air, pepper, smoked herring, black currant and dark chocolate with hints of sherry and barley malt.
Medium persistence finish, we find the notes of pepper and barley malt, a nice note of smoke at the end.
The main difference between the Bunnahabhain Distillery and the other Isle of Islay distilleries is that Bunnahabhain does not normally produce peaty whiskey.
Here, this is why this bottle should be tried!
