Description

Lunae White Wine Labianca IGT 2021 - 75 Cl.

Vermentino Labianca

White like the Marble Mountains that outline the landscape of the plain of the ancient and white city of Luni. White like the soul of this wine, delicate and persuasive, fresh with summer scents, the result of the harmonious encounter of two vines that have always been cultivated in this place: the Vermentino vine symbol of our territory and the enveloping Malvasia.

Traditional Production Method

The grapes are grown in the foothill area characterized by medium-textured soils, and in the Luni plain area with predominantly sandy soils. The characteristics of these two different terroirs, combined with the identity of the vine, lead to the expression of a wine of great finesse and balance with a strong territorial imprint. To best enhance these characteristics we have chosen a very careful and delicate vinification, the fermentation takes place in steel at a controlled temperature with a permanence on the skins of about 10 days and a subsequent refinement in large wooden barrels not excessively long.

Lunae: Family, History, Tradition

The winemaking tradition of this land has its roots in ancient history, already in 177 aC a Roman colony was founded at the mouth of the Magra river and called “Portus Lunae”. Pliny the Elder, in his work “Naturalis Historia” about the wine of this place wrote: “Etruriae Luna palma habet…” (65 dC ): “…of Etruria, that of Luni has the palm…”. This was the origin and inspiration for the choice of our name, containing in itself all the principles that have guided and still guide the work in the vineyard and in the cellar. The Bosoni family has in fact always been linked to this territory. For four generations, for work and vocation, we have done three things: we cultivate the vineyard, we produce wine and we preserve the culture of our territory.
