PELLEGRINO WINERY 1880 MOSCATO DI PANTELLERIA DOC 50 CL
Description
Zibibbo grapes are grown on the island of Pantelleria, a Pantelleria sapling exemplary Unesco heritage, the soil is a marvel of volcanic origin, with sands and clays. The climate is dry, with little rainfall and a very hot and windy summer. The Moscato Naturale di Pantelleria DOC from Cantine Pellegrino 1880 is a rich and very pleasant wine, a sip of summer always available. It has a straw yellow color, has a splendid luminosity. The nose is complex and fine, it opens with notes of ripe peach and apricot and then moves on to citrus fruits and yellow melon. On the palate it is sweet, soft, it does not lack freshness and harmony, it is long and its finish is fruity. It goes well with desserts and cakes, the combination recommended by Cantine Pellegrino however is unusual and worth the worth repeating: soft stretched curd cheeses with anchovies and pistachios. On the label there is a date, that of 1880, deliberately reported in the company logo, marking the beginning of everything for a story that goes back more than one hundred and thirty years. 50 cl glass bottle
