Vermentino di Gallura DOCG Superiore Porphirio is made from 100% Vermentino grapes from the hilly areas of Gallura, in the far north-east of Sardinia.

Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections, it is delicate and slightly fruity with hints of sage. On the palate it is fresh and savoury.

Golden color, clear and mineral aroma

Vermentino di Gallura Superiore has a golden color with a clear and clean aroma provided by rich mineral compounds.

Characterized by floral notes, ripe white-fleshed fruits together with the typical almond finish, it is an always recognizable wine.

Delicately mineral and slightly acidic, this type of wine is perfect for an aperitif or a light lunch.

The Territory of Gallura

The production area, located in the north-eastern part of Sardinia, extends almost entirely in the ancient province of Olbia-Tempio, with an appendix in the nearby province of Sassari.

The area close to the sea is characterised by granite rocks smoothed by the wind and water, and is surrounded by thick and characteristic Mediterranean scrub.

Gallura is one of the Italian areas most suited to viticulture, in particular for the cultivation of Vermentino grapes, which are found both at sea level and on mountain slopes, up to 500 meters above sea level.
